Our hens are seasonally pastured and rotationally grazed, meaning from April-November they are moved across our fields, with access to diverse forage mixes and cover crops. At sundown, they are locked in their mobile coops for their safety, and let out at sunrise.

Vivid yolk color is an indicator of the egg quality and nutritional value. Because of their diet of organic grain, insects, and forage, our yolks always look bright & sunny, even in winter.

DID YOU KNOW?
Industrialized egg operations have caught on to the idea that yolk color=egg quality and will often feed their chickens dyes, or additives to enhance the yolk color- yes, even ORGANIC operations.

During the winter the ladies move into their winter coop, which has an ample outdoor run to which they have access all day from sunrise to sunset. Their spacious coop and outdoor access allows for positive social interactions and natural scavenging behavior which keep the birds healthy, stimulated, and happy!
